𝐉𝐮𝐛𝐚, 𝐅𝐫𝐢𝐝𝐚𝐲 𝟐𝟑𝐫𝐝 𝐀𝐮𝐠𝐮𝐬𝐭 𝟐𝟎𝟐𝟒 – In a significant political development following the pronouncements made over the State-owned national broadcaster, Chol Mawut Ajongo was officially sworn in as the new Minister for Presidential Affairs on Friday, marking a crucial moment in President Salva Kiir’s administration.
During the swearing-in ceremony, President Kiir expressed his confidence in Chol’s capabilities given his ambassadorial experience, noting that his outstanding records as a career diplomat will play a decisive role in advancing the government’s vision and enhancing engagement with the citizens.
President Kiir emphasized the cardinal role of the Minister of Presidential Affairs in coordinating crucial policy initiatives and fostering communication between the presidency and other government branches as the country prepares for the forthcoming general elections.
Amb. Chol Mawut Ajongo, who was until his appointment, was serving as the country’s Ambassador to Kenya, has expressed gratitude for the opportunity accorded to serve in this new capacity.
The Deputy Governor of Central Equatoria State, Hon. Paulino Lukudu Obede was also sworn into office before the President, as he assumed his duties in the State.
