HON. DEPUTY GOVERNOR OF LAKES STATE: DR ISAIAH AKOL MATHIANG REMARKS ON THE COMMEMORATION OF 41ST SPLA/M- ANNIVERSARY DAY‚ HEADQUARTERS, LAKES STATE.

On this significant occasion of 41st— SPLA/ M Anniversary Day.

The Deputy Governor of Lakes State; Hon. Dr. Isaiah Akol Mathiang remarkably acknowledged the Historical day of the SPLA/M Veterans, both those who fell along the way of Liberation Struggle and those Living Veterans.

He described the 16th—May‚ 1983 as a rebirth of 1955 where the Southerners waged resistance against the Arabization Policy and Political Marginalization under Arabs’ Regime.

He remarked. The Best Political Step towards Peace for South Sudanese is the acceptance of One another as South Sudanese‚ Not as Tribes‚ Parties. He said: The current Status quo South Sudanese are undergoing neither needs premeditated Elections to be priotized nor Dollar to be at the forefront of the standards of living. It requires‚ Peace‚ Unity and the Agricultural Productivity to be primarily priotized in the State and country as a whole.

He thanked the Governor of Lakes State. H.E. LT Rin Tueny Mabor for ensuring 41st Anniversary Day is massively celebrated In Lakes State.

He Finally urged the citizens of Lakes State to cultivate culture
of Peace in the and State Government to maintain lasting Peace and Stability for Farmers’ Freedom in their Gardens and free movements.
