Celebration in Pibor as Gen. David Yau Yau Rejoins SPLM Party

In a jubilant event at the Greater Pibor Administrative Area (GPAA) headquarters in Pibor town three days ago, locals celebrated Gen. David Yau Yau’s decision to return to the SPLM Party under President Salva Kiir’s leadership.

This reversal comes just four weeks after Yau Yau’s departure from SPLM to join SPLM-IO under Dr. Riek Machar Teny. The community expressed relief and optimism at Yau Yau’s realignment, seeing it as a positive step towards unity and stability in the region.
