BCL called off a match after bodyguard of Akol Arech shot & killed a fan.

The Bahr el Ghazal Counties’ League (BCL) has called off the highly anticipated match between Tonj East and Awerial Counties. The cancellation follows a tragic incident involving the bodyguard of Akol Santo Arech.

The bodyguard fatally shot Cueibet fan Aru Mading Ater, who is also Akol Santo’s in-law. The incident occurred while Aru Mading and his friends were taking pictures near the fence of Akol Santo’s house, located opposite the Jamus Football Field. The bodyguard intended to chase the fans away from the house.

Authorities are taking care of the situation, BCL clarified that this incident is not from the fans, teams or the management of BCL but an outsider involvement.
